We’ve been creating unforgettable river adventures for families like yours since 1978, and we’re celebrating our 35th Anniversary this year. From the beginning, the Big Eddy Thriller has been our most popular whitewater rafting trip, and continues to thrill and delight kids and adults alike. The Big Eddy Thriller is a three-mile trip down the Upper Deschutes River, and isn’t short on splashes or “Woo Hoos!” Only minutes from Bend, the Big Eddy Thriller is our most convenient whitewater trip, and easily fits into a morning or afternoon so you can explore other fun things to do in Central Oregon, like our world-famous Bend Ale Trail.

Sun Country Tours Foundation Donates
More than $20,000 in 2012
Through our non-profit foundation, Sun Country Tours awarded more than $20,000 in donations to hundreds of charities in 2012. The foundation specifically supports organizations that directly benefit children, education and the environment in Central Oregon.
“We created the Sun Country Tours Foundation more than 20 years ago with the goal of giving back to the community we live, work and play in,” explains President Dennis Oliphant, who started Sun Country Tours in 1978. “It’s extremely gratifying to know our gifts to the community really make a difference.”
Oliphant, who also volunteers his time to various organizations, currently serves on the boards for the Central Oregon Visitors Association and the Oregon Outfitters and Guides Association, as well as serving as the Board Chairman for the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation in Bend.
Thank you for your support of Sun Country Tours, which allows us to give back to the community by supporting hard-working charities that provide tireless assistance to people in meaningful ways.
