Stumptown Triathlon Cancelled

For years we have heard the calls for a Portland area long course triathlon.

We believe we answered with a safe and competitive course at Blue Lake through the Stumptown Tri.

Now in its second year, the registrations for 2012 will not support the costs of producing an event we feel is consistent with the AA Sports brand. We further fear that the low numbers will not provide an atmosphere reflective of the efforts we know go into training for a long distance event.

Accordingly, it is with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the 2012 event.

We will continue to make it our mission to: produce fun and safe events for the NW athletic community.

We hope that you will make the most of your training and see our dedication toward triathlon through one of the many events still remaining on our 2012 calendar.
